Terms & Conditions

These Terms govern your use of the ScanPlay website, studio and player at scanplay.in ("Service"). By creating an account or paying for a plan you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

ScanPlay lets you link a printed image ("target photo") with a video and generates a QR code. When the QR is scanned and the phone camera is pointed at the target photo, the video plays on top of it in the phone's browser. Recognition depends on the quality of the printed image, lighting and the phone camera; we do not guarantee recognition in every condition.

2. Accounts

• You must provide a valid email address and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
• You must be 18 or older, or use the Service under supervision of a parent or guardian.
• We may suspend accounts that breach these Terms or are used for unlawful content.

3. Plans, trial and payment

• The free trial gives limited photos for 7 days without payment. Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly in Indian Rupees, exclusive of GST, through Razorpay. We do not store your card or UPI details.
• Plan limits (number of photos, projects, video size, features) are shown on the pricing page at the time of purchase and in your studio.
• Renewal is manual: you pay again to extend. When a plan ends, your QR codes keep working for a 30-day grace period during which you cannot add or change photos. After the grace period all photos, videos and QR links are permanently deleted.
• Prices may change; changes apply to future purchases only.

4. Your content

• You keep all rights to the photos and videos you upload. You grant ScanPlay a licence to store, process and display them solely to provide the Service.
• You confirm you own or have permission to use the content, including any music, faces and trademarks in it.
• Prohibited: illegal, sexually explicit, hateful, defamatory or infringing content; content depicting minors in any sexual context; malware. We may remove such content and terminate the account without refund.

5. Viewers

Anyone with a QR code or link can view the associated video. Do not use ScanPlay for content that must remain private.

6. Availability and changes

We aim for high availability but the Service is provided "as is" without warranty of uninterrupted operation. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice. Third-party components (browser AR libraries, payment gateway, hosting) are outside our control.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, ScanPlay's total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 3 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect losses, lost profits, or losses caused by printing errors, poor image quality or viewer devices.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings or by contacting us. We may terminate accounts for breach. Sections 4, 7 and 9 survive termination.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh have exclusive jurisdiction.
